Since my bookshelves are starting to sag under the burden of good intentions and lack of self control I’ve decided that I need a bookshelf blitz. The intention is to read as many books as I can in the month of August, but the catch is that every book has to come off my bookshelves.

**NO LIBRARY BOOKS! NO EBOOKS!**

My goal is to read, at least, 8 books from off my shelves. Also I’m going to emphasize new-to-me books and not rereads. That way if I don’t like a book it can go find a new home and leave space for MOAR BOOOOKKKKXXSSSS. See how that works?

If the blitz goes well then this could become a regular thing…….and I mean like twice-a-year sort of regular.

Lastly, if anyone wants to join me with their own blitz, feel free. You can make your own rules because maybe you only read digital or audiobooks. Maybe you have a series you need to catch up on or a massive book like Way of Kings you’ve been putting off. Basically pick something you have a backlog of and go for it. I’d love to hear about it.
