Really I just am not ready for this book. For one thing it’s massive. The style is very different from what I’m used to and I was finding it really difficult to get into. Given that it was originally written in Chinese it isn’t surprising.
Sadly I’ve run out of renewals so it’s time to move on. I know it’s pretty cliche but, “It’s not you, it’s me.” This is definitely a book I intend to attempt again.

The… jury on this one is equally divided between the “likes” and the “likes not”, which makes this book a very controversial one, and the reason I’ve held off reading it until now. And each not-so-positive review I read keeps me procrastinating….

I didn’t finish this book either, I gave up after about 200 pages. However, I read it before blogging and last year I got sent a copy of the second book in the series, The Wall of Storms, wasn’t going to bother with it as I hadn’t finished this one and didn’t really enjoy what I read but I gave it a go and I read and loved that, one of my books of last year! 🙂

Hmmmm I might have to do that. I have a feeling I’ll like it if I can just get into it.
