I’ve always liked this book…. and I don’t really know why. It might be the cover, or that Jake is the POV, or jaguars, or just the way it’s written.

Synopsis: There’s been an accident. Someone crash-landed a Yeerk Bug fighter. And the Yeerks have been trying to cover it up – quickly. But not before Tobias spots it. So the Animorphs and Ax decide to steal the ship to show the world that Earth has been invaded.
Recommendation: Highly recommend this series.
Jake carries on the increased depth to the Animorphs. He’s always been uncomfortable as the unofficial leader of the group, and will be for most of the series, but over time he comes to terms with certain aspects of leadership. This is one of those cases. A leader often has to order those he leads into situations where they might die.
My favorite part of the book was the jungle setting and I thought it was very well described for such a short book. I’d say more but that would be too spoilery and I don’t want to have to tag such a short review.

P.S. – The promotional stickers were still in the book! They might be considered antiques at this point. Either way I intend to make them into magnets so that they might last longer.
