This is mostly just to catch up on the few books I got in December (and failed to post about) along with a few we got from a friend since she was moving out of the state.
So this is a bit late. Normally this goes up the last Saturday of the month but because I was enjoying Thanksgiving weekend (read: I was being lazy) I didn’t get to this. In fact I was still enjoying said holiday that I couldn’t even manage to get it out by the end of the month.
And honestly it’s a pretty small haul considering how much I spent during all the Black Friday sales.
Last month was decent when it came to new (to-me) books. We’ve been busy so there wasn’t a lot of time for book hunting, but I did snatch a new release so that sort of makes up for it.
I was a good little book hoarder last month. I only went book hunting once…..mostly because we’ve been busy but I still count it as a win and marked improvement in my self control.
Holy moly! This month was HUGE for new (to-me) books. I’ve joked a little in the past about having a problem, but this sort of pushes in into a real problem. Combine large numbers of books on my must-buy list with Prime Day Promos and you get this monstrosity. My Bookshelf Blitz for next month is desperately needed. We didn’t accept any ARC’s this month and the giveaways have been quiet…..plus I keep forgetting to enter them.
Finally, just a tiny little book haul. I still did my usual two trips to my usually hunting spot, there just wasn’t much there……or my collection is sufficiently large that I already had most of them.
This month was shaping up to be a small, slow month for book acquisition……Hahahahaha!
As you can expect, I’m reaching the point of having quite a few books that I haven’t read so I’m going to really start pushing to read books off my shelf. There are still a few series I want to finish that I’ll need to use the library for and there are a couple of books coming out that might get priority but if possible I want to read some of these other books. My shelves are almost reaching the full stage and then it won’t be long until it becomes ridiculous.
